Here is what you need to do

Please use the form below to upload your photograph, but if you have any queries then please send a message

1. To allow us to repair or enhance your photographs you will have to scan the original pictures (or have them scanned for you). The photographs should be scanned at a resolution of 300 ppi, if you wish the finished product to be enlarged compared to the original increase the ppi accordingly. E.g. to double the original size, the photograph should be scanned at 600 ppi.

2. The scanned images can then be uploaded to this site using the form below. You will also need supply your email address.

3. You will then be sent a free quote for the work involved by email.

4. Upon acceptance of the quote the work will be carried out and an email with a link to a reduced resolution proof picture with a watermark will be sent to you. This will also contain payment details. (Currently Paypal only).

5. Upon receipt of payment you will be emailed a link to the finished full size image. This can be downloaded for you to print out or send to a photographic bureau.

Resolution and ppi

The term ppi stand for 'Pixels Per Inch'. It is a measure of how densely packed the information in a scanned picture or a digital photograph is.

In your scanning software the setting for this may be known as:

  • Resolution
  • ppi
  • Pixels per Inch or Pixels/inch
  • dpi
  • Dots per Inch or Dots/Inch

Transfer of media and data

All communication for this service will be carried out electronically. The customers photograph must be scanned and uploaded using the form provided on the 'Instructions' page.

The finished product will be made available for download from the website. They will be in TIF format unless otherwise agreed.

Pricing, proof agreement and payment

After the customer has uploaded their picture it will be assessed and a price for the work will be calculated. The customer will be quoted this cost via email. When the customer agrees this cost then the work will be carried out. If the customer does not agree to this cost then no work will be carried out. (Negotiation between Photo-renovations.com and the customer can reduce the cost by reducing the amount of work carried out on the photograph).

Finished products will be presented to the customer, initially, as a reduced size (pixel count) version with a watermark for evaluation and acceptance. A link for Paypal payment will be presented at this time as well. (Paypal is the only payment method accepted). Upon receipt of payment the finished product will be placed on the website in a password protected area. A password will be sent to the customer allowing them to download the file.

Corrections, alterations

As the customer will have already seen the reduced size proof picture it is assumed that they are happy with the work carried out. However, if there are mistakes that can be shown to be not apparent in the proof then Photo-renovations.com will correct these free of charge.

Additional work, alterations or improvements, not previously agreed to, will be carried out at extra cost after negotiation and agreement with the customer.

Privacy policy

Customer details (e.g. names, email addresses) are kept confidentially and securely. They are not passed on in any form to third parties.

Images uploaded to this site and finished (and intermediate) images are treated with the same confidentiality. Customer images will not be displayed on this website without prior agreement.

Customer details and images will be stored for a period of 6 months after the last communication in case of additional work being required.

Cookie policy

This site does not use cookies. No cookies will be stored on visitors computers.

All merchandising is handled by a third party namely RedBubble.com. They are solely responsible for all transactions and the items listed on my Merchandise page are merely links to the RedBubble site. The terms and conditions for RedBubble can be found here: http://www.redbubble.com/agreement.

All complaints or issues must be communicated to RedBubble.com and are the responsibility of RedBubble.com to resolve.
